Nature-protecting production concept
Yünsa General Manager Mustafa Sürmegöz stated the following regarding the subject, “In line with our understanding of production that protects the nature, we attach importance to presenting products produced by consuming less natural resources and using recycled materials in our collections. In this context, we produce special REPREVE® fiber blended fabrics produced by recycling waste pet bottles, in cooperation with Unifi, one of the most effective recycling companies in the world. By using more than 147 thousand kilograms of REPREVE® fiber in our collections to date, we have converted approximately 8.7 million plastic bottles into fabric. Thus, we saved 2,283, 530 kw/h of energy and 746, 243 liters of water in total. In other words, we have achieved energy savings equivalent to the 1-year electricity consumption of 83 households, or water savings equal to the 1-year drinking water requirement of 1.022 people.”
