Turkish Firms Represent Their Green Transformation and Sustainability Efforts to Buying Groups
President of TGSD Ramazan Kaya said that: “The main theme of this year’s conference, “Transformative Journey”, is a process that is not unilateral and involves strategic partnerships. In this meeting, our Turkish companies laid solid foundations for new collaborations by explaining their works especially in the field of green transformation and sustainability to the purchasing groups.”
Many E-Commerce Websites Operating in Turkey Participated in the Event
Ramazan Kaya: “Within the scope of the Istanbul Ready-to-Wear Conference, which is eagerly awaited by our industry every year, this year we not only discussed the present and future of ready-to-wear, but also laid the foundations of long-lasting collaborations. This year, in addition to the buying groups, large-scale e-commerce sites operating in Turkey also participated in the meetings, which were very productive. Our local producers informed the representatives of the buying groups about their work especially in the field of sustainability and green transformation.
Kaya concluded his words as follows: “The theme of this year’s conference was “Transformative Journey”. We talked and discussed that transformation is inevitable in this process where business models and consumer expectations are changing rapidly. However, it is also a fact that not only producers but the entire ecosystem and value chain must adapt to this transformation in order for it to be successful. In this context, strategic partnerships between our manufacturers and purchasing groups are of great importance. As TGSD, have brought together all the players of the sector and provided favorable conditions for these collaborations.”
