“Muratec Highlights AIcone, VORTEX and Lifecycle Support at ITM 2026”
Muratec, the textile machinery brand of Murata Machinery, presented its new-generation AIcone automatic winder, samples and applications for VORTEX yarn technologies, and its Muratec Lifecycle Support approach to industry professionals at ITM 2026.
Koki Matsumoto, Sales Manager at Muratec, said one of the main highlights at the exhibition was AIcone, the company’s latest automatic winder. AIcone is among Muratec’s solutions designed to help secure yarn quality at the final stage of the spinning process and support stable production for subsequent knitting or weaving processes.
Matsumoto noted that interest in VORTEX yarns is increasing in the Turkish market and that customers are now looking for more specialised and differentiated products. For this reason, Muratec presented VORTEX samples and examples for different application areas at its booth. With its air-flow-based yarn formation, VORTEX technology offers less hairiness, reduced pilling tendency and differentiation potential for functional textile products.

“ITM 2026 Is a Strong Meeting Point Opening onto Regional Markets”
According to Matsumoto, ITM 2026 is one of the most important exhibitions in the world for the textile machinery industry, while Istanbul’s accessible and strategic location attracts a very broad visitor profile. At the fair, Muratec met customers from Türkiye as well as industry professionals from Egypt, Uzbekistan, Syria and surrounding markets.
Matsumoto said this international visitor profile directly contributes to the company’s business development goals, giving Muratec the opportunity both to strengthen relationships with existing customers and to introduce its solutions in new markets. Presenting AIcone, VORTEX applications and lifecycle support together at the fair underlines Muratec’s integrated approach to technology and service.
Emphasis on Technology, Service and Close Collaboration in a Challenging Market
Pointing out that the global apparel and textile industry is going through a challenging period, Matsumoto said market conditions are not easy in Türkiye or worldwide. Nevertheless, Muratec will continue to stand by its customers, he said, emphasizing that the company aims to work more closely with producers and keep moving forward together through its approach of supporting customers with technology, service and every aspect of assistance.
