Fabric, Providing 98% Protection Against Viruses from Yünsa
Representing Turkey internationally with its top segment and innovative products, Yünsa has broken new grounds in the sector and developed the ‘Antiviral Finishing Technique’, which provides 98% protection against viruses that can be transmitted by respiratory tract.
With this innovative technique it developed, Yünsa began the production of fabric that protects against viruses.
The fabrics applied by the Antiviral Finishing Technique disrupt the lipid layer in the outer layer of viruses that smears on its surface, thus providing the viruses to break down. This technique, which can be applied to 100% wool, wool/polyester and wool/nylon blended fabrics, has been developed with 5 break-resistant antiviral protection features at first stage. Efforts are underway to increase this ratio to 10 washes and above.
Antiviral wool fabrics provide complete protection against viruses as well as bacteria and fungi. Applications are made according to the demands for different uses such as suits and outerwear, upholstery and uniform fabric.
Wool fabrics produced with Antiviral Finishing Technique have been approved by the international Antimicrobial Council (USA) and Microbe Investigations AG (Switzerland), which are highly credible, to provide 98% protection against respiratory viruses.
