We had an interview with Seven Avcıoğlu, Board Member of BS Europes Turkey, as Tekstil Teknoloji magazine. Avcıoğlu talked about their new projects, the devices they have developed and their export markets
With your 25 years of experience, you have been operating in the industry. As a company established under the partnership of France and Turkey, could you first tell us your founding story?
BS Europes has been developing and manufacturing various devices used in quality control, laboratory, testing, and experimentation fields since 1998. Our company, established under the partnership of France and Turkey, provides services with its dynamic employees and 25 years of experience in the background at its branch in Turkey.
Our company, operating as BS Europes Turkey, has been involved in many important projects both domestically and internationally and specializes in the production and sales of devices used for quality control, laboratory, testing, and experimentation purposes.
Can you tell us about your product portfolio and the features of your products that distinguish them from your competitors?
First of all, I would like to extend my greetings to all my colleagues involved in machine manufacturing. I don’t really like the word “competitor”; I prefer to say other representatives of our industry because we are all serving our country, and I believe that we should work in collaboration. As a businessman who has lived parallel to France and Turkey for years, I believe that production should always be supported.
Our product portfolio at BS Europes is quite extensive, and we offer our customers various quality control devices used in different sectors. For the textile industry, we have many different devices used to test the physical properties of fabrics. The outstanding features of our devices include high precision, repeatable results, and the ability to provide test results in a very short time, ensuring customer satisfaction. In addition, we have devices that meet world standards for university laboratories, packaging, and the food sector.
At BS Europes, we also work to provide custom solutions to our customers. With our specially designed devices, we offer products that are tailored and manufactured according to our customers’ needs. Additionally, we provide training and technical support services with our experienced after-sales team.

What advantages have your recently released products provided to users? Are you satisfied with the feedback you have received regarding these products?
Among the products we have introduced to the market in the past few years, we have various test devices used for conducting physical tests in the textile industry, devices used for material testing, devices designed for testing materials used in the food industry, and similar products. These products offer advantages such as the use of new technologies, precise sensors, user-friendly software, as well as high accuracy, reliability, energy efficiency, and fast results. These features and advantages are among the factors that differentiate our products from some of our competitors.
How do you interpret the developments in laboratory equipment and technologies? Can you provide a general evaluation for the industry?
There has been rapid development in laboratory equipment and technologies in recent years. Thanks to evolving technologies and innovations, it has become possible to obtain more precise and accurate results. Furthermore, advancements in software technologies, in particular, contribute to making devices more user-friendly.
These developments have a highly positive impact on the industry. Laboratory testing has become an integral part of important processes such as quality control, product development, and R&D activities for many sectors. Therefore, obtaining more accurate and reliable results not only increases the satisfaction of manufacturers but also helps reduce costs. Additionally, the continuous innovation and development in laboratory equipment and technologies contribute to the continuous growth and expansion of the industry. This allows companies to expand their product portfolios, gain a competitive advantage, and provide better services to customers.

The first half of 2023 has come to an end. How has 2023 been for your company, BS Europes?
I can say that our performance at BS Europes has been quite good. We have received very positive feedback from our customers, which is satisfying for us. This further motivates us to continue our efforts in providing the best service to our customers. Additionally, we will be participating in the ITM 2024 International Textile Machinery Exhibition which will be held between June 4-8 and we will showcase our industry-leading products.
We will also closely monitor the latest developments by attending the ITMA fair in Milan this June. We take pride in being one of the companies that conducts business with seriousness, discipline, and prioritizes customer satisfaction.
What are your current export markets? Which potential export markets do you see? How do you conduct your activities targeting these markets?
Currently, our main export markets at BS Europes predominantly include European countries and Middle Eastern countries. However, we also see potential in other markets such as South America.
To target these markets, we develop effective marketing strategies that emphasize the quality and features of our products. We also participate in trade fairs in these regions and strive to establish connections with local business partners for potential collaborations. Additionally, we conduct market research to identify customer needs and ensure that our products are designed and manufactured to meet those requirements.

Could you provide information on any upcoming R&D projects, product innovations, or investment plans?
We place great importance on R&D activities and product innovations at BS Europes. We continuously monitor customer needs and industry developments to align our R&D efforts accordingly.
Some of the upcoming R&D projects and product innovations we plan to pursue include the production of more advanced testing and experimentation devices, the development of devices integrated with artificial intelligence technologies, and work in the field of digitalization.
Furthermore, we are continuing our modernization efforts to increase production capacity as per our investment plans. We also plan to offer dealership opportunities in different regions, enabling us to provide faster and higher-quality services to our customers. Throughout these endeavors, we will remain focused on customer needs and closely monitor industry advancements.
