EMA Chemical Systems Established a New Production Facility in Istanbul
This new facility, which will increase the company’s contribution to the circular economy as a sustainable investment, will host the application and training center of Huntsman Building Solutions, which has an important position in polyurethane spray foam insulation, as well as a world-class R&D center. The facility, which has an installed polyurethane systems production capacity exceeding 150 thousand tons in total; will produce polyester polyols, blends, MDI prepolymers, spray foam and polyurea.

Tony Hankins, President of Huntsman Polyurethanes, made the following statements about the new facility: “Turkey is the second largest MDI-based polyurethane market for Europe. We trust Turkey’s regional position. With this facility, it is expected to reach an important position in Europe as well as its central location in Turkey and the Middle East. EMA Chemistry Systems, which has been operating successfully for the last three years without its own facility, will gain momentum with the new facility. The facility, which has high standards of engineering and quality in the region, will also be a growth platform for Huntsman Building Solutions (HBS) in Turkey and the Middle East.”
