Interest in ITM 2024 is Much More than We Expected

ITM 2024, which was held for the 36th time this year and visited by thousands of professional visitors, witnessed intense collaborations on its third day. Expectations were exceeded at the fair, where dozens of manufacturers from Asia to Europe, from the Far East to America participated. Cengiz Kahraman, General Manager of Spot Tekstil, which was founded in the 1990s and is currently the distributor of 24 brands in Turkey, states that they came to the ITM 2024 cautiously due to the contraction the textile industry experienced before the exhibition, but they exceeded their expectations on the second day. The highlights of our interview with Kahraman are as follows: “We follow the sales of machinery and equipment produced by important companies in the sector in the field of textile dyeing, printing and finishing processes. “We attended ITM 2024 with 12 of the 24 companies we represented.”
“Latest Technology Products Attract Great Interest”
“One of the products we exhibited is Konica Minolta’s digital printing machine. The feature of this machine is that it also performs the printing preparation process that is normally done on another machine. After preparation, it continues printing on the same line. The results are pretty good too. We give trials to customers. We are getting very good feedback. This is a development that can be considered a revolution in digital printing. Our second machine is; It provides shrinkage stability in fabric production, especially in weaving and knitting. This is one of the serious problems of the sector. The fabric you produce may shrink during use or post-garment processing.
The machine we exhibit eliminates this problem. We make presentations to our visitors at our stand. “The machines we exhibit attract great attention.”

Istanbul is a very important location. When Turkey’s bridge position is taken into account, the importance of ITM becomes clear. “We will Be More Relaxed When the Crisis Eases”
“We are in a period where Turkish lira costs are high. And also; Foreign exchange costs and foreign exchange earnings are also low. This period is a bit difficult for textile exporters. “We will be relieved if the crisis eases and the gap narrows.”
