“İstanbul is A Unique Meeting Point for Global Accessibility”
One of the world’s established manufacturers of braiding and winding technologies, Herzog attracted strong visitor interest with its next-generation solutions at ITM 2026, marking its first participation in the exhibition. Showcasing its expertise in braiding and winding technologies, the company introduced its latest machine designed for high-strength applications, highlighting innovations that enhance ease of maintenance and production efficiency.
Dennis Knüppel-Spiecker, Sales Manager of Herzog, emphasized that the company is not only active in rope braiding machinery but also offers a broad range of solutions for the automotive, aerospace, medical and offshore industries. He noted that Herzog’s technologies cover applications ranging from very fine textile products to heavy-duty ropes used in offshore wind turbines.
The SENG132-140 rope braiding machine presented at ITM 2026 was specifically developed for demanding applications such as climbing ropes. Equipped with a newly designed braider body, the machine significantly reduces downtime caused by maintenance while making spare parts replacement much easier and faster. As a result, manufacturers benefit from higher production availability and more efficient maintenance procedures.

“İstanbul’s International Position Makes ITM Stand Out”
Knüppel-Spiecker highlighted that one of ITM 2026’s greatest advantages is İstanbul’s outstanding international accessibility. He pointed out that, in recent years, many visitors from outside Europe have faced significant difficulties attending exhibitions held in Europe due to visa formalities.
He explained that İstanbul offers a major advantage in this respect. Thanks to the extensive network of Turkish Airlines, visitors can reach İstanbul from nearly every point on the globe, making the city an ideal meeting place for customers and potential business partners from around the world.
“For us, İstanbul is a perfect meeting point. In recent years, we have seen that visitors from outside Europe often face difficulties attending exhibitions in Europe because of visa formalities. İstanbul, on the other hand, offers an excellent opportunity to meet these customers and potential clients thanks to its central location and the extensive flight network of Turkish Airlines, which connects the city with nearly every part of the world.” said Knüppel-Spiecker.
First Participation Exceeded Expectations
Knüppel-Spiecker expressed his satisfaction with Herzog’s first participation in ITM, describing both the timing of the exhibition and the venue as excellent. He also noted that İstanbul offers very good accommodation opportunities and outstanding accessibility for international exhibitors and visitors. Confident about the success of the event, Knüppel-Spiecker said that Herzog definitely plans to participate in future editions of ITM.
