Uster Rolls Out Its Complete Solutions for Raw Material Utilization
Raw material is the biggest cost factor in spinning accounting for 65% to 75% of the production expenses. Any raw material management solution proving up to 2% waste reduction should therefore gain great attention. Uster presents FiberQ at ITM 2024, convinced to meet numerous spinners interested to learn how to improve their mill’s profitability – and how to eliminate barré faults.
The FiberQ raw material management solution is part of 360Q, the suite of pioneering solutions for excellence in textile manufacturing, introduced at ITMA 2023. The complete FiberQ solution is now available for spinners in Turkey. This includes the subscription model for Uster HVI 1000; the fiber classification and analysis system are the starting point for data-based raw material utilization.
In practice, FiberQ has already proved to be a profitable investment. Spinners reported significant quality improvements. For example, there were no barré faults since the FiberQ solution has been installed. The overall quality improvements showed a level of >25% and a greater consistency was observed.
The users saved 0.5% to 2% waste, while maintaining quality standards. For a mill with 50,000 spindles, every single percentage of waste saved can lead to a cost reduction of USD 255,000 (€ 239,000) per year, based on a Ne 30 yarn with a price of 1.8 USD per kilogram of cotton.
Meet the Uster experts at ITM 2024 at Booth 714B in Hall 7 to learn more about FiberQ – and to ask all burning questions! Visitors also shouldn’t miss the practical demonstrations with the Uster Statistics 2023. They’ll see how to locate and contextualize desired quality parameters for recycled yarns.
ITM is to Uster also the ideal platform to present RSO 3D, the intelligent combination of Uster Sentinel, Uster Quantum 4.0 and a linked winding machine with spindle identification. This super combo a unique three-dimensional quality measurement in one system achieves preventive quality control as well as the ultimate goals of process optimization and traceability.
