Sanko Textile Became the First Enterprise to Receive TSE Covid-19 Safe Production Certificate
Adil Sani Konukoğlu, Sanko Holding Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, said that Sanko Textile Enterprises Industry and Trade Corporation is the first company that applied to the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) Covid-19 Safe Production Document, the first company that passed the required inspections and the first company that received the appropriateness document in Turkey.
Adil Sani Konukoğlu, Sanko Holding Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed that Sanko Textile is the first company in Turkey that received TSE Covid-19 Safe Production Document and continued his statements as follows:
Sanko Textile became the first company to apply for certification within the scope of TSE COVID-19 Hygiene, Infection Prevention and Control Certification Program prepared by TSE under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. We are proud to be the first company in Turkey that successfully passed the required inspection tests by TSE and received TSE Covid-19 Safe Production Certificate. This document is a product of the endeavors of our executive colleagues and employees, being one with our partners, and the value we attach to our employees and all segments we do business with.’’
Explaining that they have always adopted the principle of growth by sharing, Konukoğlu, further indicated that, ‘‘In this troublesome period, we wanted our customers and our employees to know that we were right beside them by allowing our customers additional time to pay for their debts and by paying additional wages to our employees. As of March 17, we postponed the payments of all the products that were purchased for two months, until the end of March, including their current debts.’’ Konukoğlu continued his statements as the following:
‘‘We are in the open now, we will enter a good period in the third quarter and things will recover even more in the fourth period. We have not yet revised the budgets we made at the beginning of the year. Since we saw that the results would be more accurate after the third quarter, we decided to continue without any modifications. As a country, we need to change the rules. Until today, we have been dealing with transactions in all sectors by changing the prices of the menus that we have. In the forthcoming period, both the contents of the menus and the modes of manufacturing will change and sustainability will come to the fore. After the end of the pandemic outbreak, we have to be versatile and be able to continue with different job descriptions. Sustainability is indispensable for all of us. We have to deal with business that prioritizes people and nature.’’
Konukoğlu drew attention to the fact that digitalization will be a constant part of life from now on, and finalized his statements as follows: ‘‘Currently, we all hold meetings over the internet. We must apply the real digitalization in our business life. We have to work to review our manufacturing lines and upgrade to Industry 5.0, even ahead of Industry 4.0’.’
Konukoğlu emphasized that Sanko Holding exports an average of 500 million dollars annually and that its first priority will be to maintain this export figure in the coming period.
