Supports for Employment of Textile Graduates Continue
The Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Textile Foundation collaborates on increasing the qualified manpower required in the field of textiles, the access of graduates to employment and the competitiveness in the industry.
Vice Chairman of Turkish Textile Foundation, Metin Emiroğlu, and Deputy Minister of National Education, Mahmut Özer, have signed a cooperation protocol on vocational education.
Vocational and technical Anatolian high schools and dormitories were built in Adana, Kayseri and Tekirdag, and all equipment were donated to the Ministry of National Education as part of the protocol signed between the Ministry of National Education, Turkish Textile Foundation and Textile Industry Employers Union.
With this protocol, workshops and laboratories in these schools will be equipped with new technologies.
Students will be provided with skills training, internship opportunities and on-the-job trainings in these schools. In addition, education programs and educational materials for the students in the textile departments will be kept up-to-date with the industry. Projects from successful students will be supported. Besides, awareness-raising activities such as career days, guidance and competitions will be organized for vocational and technical schools.
