Textiles Among Turkey’s Leading Exports Industries

With the “Exports 2019 Report” prepared for the new period, Turkish Exporters Assembly has brought together an action plan for exporters with the “5G Road Map,” which aims to serve as a road map for exporters. The five-part report, which TIM plans to implement this year, includes an action plan with projects such as the 5G road map (Strong Turkey, Strong economy, Strong Exports, Strong Human Resources, Strong Infrastructure and Export Ecosystems) and the First Step Campaign on Exports, the Zero Waste Campaign in Exports (to be implemented by the Council of Women), and the Exporting Game Software.

TIM Chairman İsmail Gülle said that the report aims to become a country with a foreign trade surplus, beyond exceeding the set export targets.

Referring to the other issues covered in the report, Gülle also stated that Turkey is strong at exporting 47 of the most traded 200 world-wide products. The report, which also includes textile products, aims to advance Turkish exports even further. Gülle noted that, Turkey is more successful in these 47 products in the EU countries, and can achieve more if she increases its market in the EU and expand this success to more distant markets.
