Canlar Mekatronik Continues to Grow with New Investments
Operating in the textile fabric dyeing and finishing machinery sector, Canlar Mekatronik, together with its group companies, became one of the world’s leading fabric dyeing machinery manufacturers. The company produces and exports textile fabric dyeing and finishing machines to more than 40 countries. The initial manufacturing site of the company, which had a closed area of 14.000 m2 that was completed in 2015 and now expanded to a closed area of 30.000 m2 with new production lines, and the company continues its services by increasing its technology and innovation-oriented production capacity by 400% in the last 5 years.
We interviewed with Fethi Özkök, the General Manager of Canlar Mekatronik, about his breakthroughs in 2021, investments, and plans for 2022.
60% of our turnover comes from exports
In the design center registered by the Ministry of Industry of Turkey Republic, we continue to work in areas such as supporting production, tracking technology, and developing new technologies with a staff of 14 engineers and 9 technical draftsmen. With our technology and innovation-oriented productions, we have increased our production capacity by 400% in the last 5 years.
We are one of the first three companies to export machinery to countries producing textiles. Together with the performance and environmentalist approaches of our machines, both the products we offer, our export network, and our brand awareness have increased and strengthened day by day. 60% of our turnover comes from exports. It is always our primary goal to increase our share in the field of exports every year in comparison to the previous year. All of our machines are Industry 4.0 compatible. I would especially like to point out that we make at least 5 patent applications every year in line with our R&D and the technologies we have developed.
We will introduce our newest machines at ITM 2022
2021 has been a very busy and successful year for us as we work at full capacity. For example, we increased our market share by 55% with the projects we realized in the Uzbekistan market. The significant increase in our business volume also resulted in an increase in profitability and turnover.
Our export adventure, which we started with one country in 1999, has turned into a success story where we export machinery to more than 40 countries.
Our priority markets for exports in 2022 are Europe and South America, and domestically, Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia markets. Our plans for 2022 are to increase our production capacity by at least 20% and to further expand our customer network by adding new markets to our structure.
We will participate in the ITM 2022 International Textile Machinery Exhibition, which is going to be organized in Istanbul on 14-18 June 2022 and introduce our newest models.

We made new investments in production technologies
As every year, our investments continued at full speed in 2021 as well. We carry out the welding operations of our machines on fully automatic robotic lines and we increase the number of welding robots with new purchases every year. We have commissioned our ERP system, which we have completed, and in connection with this, we have switched to the automatic warehouse system. We started production of the automation control systems of our machines in our new building. By investing in new technology machines, we achieved significant savings in material and time. We made contracts and placed orders for our new generation machines that will add speed and quality to our production. By the end of 2021, we will make our production lines even more technological by facilitating them in our factory.
We care the environment in our production
As a company, we make an effort to minimize the damage caused by the products that we produce to the environment with our R&D studies. With the technological improvements we make in our machines, we save significant energy, time, water, and chemicals. We reduce carbon emissions every year with the investments we make. We are reducing our diesel-powered vehicles and increasing our electric vehicles. We meet the electrical energy needed by our factory from the solar energy panels that we have installed on the roof of our production facility.
We try to prevent any harm to the environment by storing all the wastes in our factory separately and delivering them to recycling companies.
