1.7 Million Euro Machinery Investment by Yünsa for a Sustainable Future
Yünsa invested a total of 1.7 million euros for 24 weaving looms and 2 twisting machines. The twisting machine investment is planned to be completed by the end of 2023 and the weaving loom by January 2024.
Yünsa, which serves more than 400 fashion and ready-to-wear companies in more than 50 countries, has Europe’s largest integrated woven wool fabric production facility under a single facility.
Mustafa Sürmegöz, General Manager of Yünsa, pointed out that they took another important step for a sustainable future with this investment and said, “When we commission new machinery and equipment investments that will save energy, we will also make progress in reducing our carbon footprint.”
Sharing details about the investment, Mustafa Sürmegöz stated that the increase in capacity will reduce unit energy consumption and technical waste, thus reducing costs. While taking important steps for a sustainable future with the investments we realize, we increase the level and quality of productivity. Thus, we increase our production capacity.

“We will Reduce Our Energy Needs and Our Waste”
Mustafa Sürmegöz stated that by investing in innovative technologies, the plants are increasing their digitalization and infrastructure compatibility with 4.0 and that they aim to manage energy consumption efficiently. Sürmegöz stated that they have an annual production capacity of 4,500 tons of worsted yarn and 10.5 million meters of fabric weaving. “In line with our strategic priorities and vision, we aim to improve the product and service process by using up-to-date technologies and to meet customer expectations by leveraging them. When we commission new energy-efficient machinery and equipment investments, we will make significant progress in reducing our carbon footprint. With a sense of responsibility towards future generations, we will reduce our energy needs and reduce our waste as an environmentally sensitive business. We aim to make a name for ourselves with our environmentally sensitive works. As Yünsa, we will continue to lead the way for a more livable world.”
