Çalık Denim Participates in Important Events to Highlight the Turkey’s Economy
Çalık Denim brought together industry representatives at the ‘Field Trip’ event organised by Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme, of which Çalık Denim is a business partner. The event was held in Şanlıurfa and Malatya.
Çalık Denim continues to inspire the global fashion industry with events that demonstrate the strength of the country’s economy. Çalık Denim, which came together in the “Field Trip” event, organized the Field Trip in Malatya this year, which was organized in Şanlıurfa in 2022 by BCI, which provides training on more sustainable cotton agricultural practices to more than 2.5 million farmers in 23 countries.
Çalık Denim realizes successful projects with the significant employment rate it creates in the region, its export figures that contribute to the Turkish economy, as well as its brand recognition and “Turkish Manufacturer” brand perception in the global arena. Çalık Denim, as a business partner of the event, has also signed a project that has made an impact on Turkey’s agriculture and cotton production.
In addition to business partners, the event was attended by representatives of major brands from the global fashion industry such as Marks & Spencer, Varner, New Look, Beymen and Mavi, leading influencers of the denim sector, contract farmers and agricultural stakeholders in the region in Turkish cotton production.

Çalık Denim’s factory in Malatya, which attaches importance to transparency at every stage of production from seed to store with the motto ‘Passion for Denim, Passion for Life’ and visits to Şanlıurfa, which plays an important role in cotton supply, are important for the region.
The team visited Çalık Cotton’s production factory in Urfa, which has a state-of-the-art technology infrastructure, and the fields of contracted farmers engaged in BCI-oriented production, and then visited the factory in Malatya, the production base of Çalık Denim.
The participants of the visits had the opportunity to see the production of Çalık Denim’s denim fabrics that shape the trends in the fashion world by examining all production processes from cotton to the final stage of fabric production.
