Has Group and SER Mekatronik Continue Their Operation With Strategic Business Partnership

Has Group, established nearly 30 years ago and manufactured more than 2500 machinery, carries on its production operations in full speed.

The company, which realized 30 million Euro turnover on average for the past three years, holds the top positions as a machinery manufacturer in export sales and international markets. In addition, many custom made and not-to-be found in standard product range machines are embodied by the firm.

Collaborating with Effe Machine Corporation in sales and marketing areas within the past few months, Has Group, covered a significant distance in machinery sales. However, Has Group General Manager Emre Hasbay stated that they mutually decided to end this collaboration saying: “As Has Group family, we are grateful for their support and efforts within this period.”

We performed an interview with Mr. Emre Hasbay on the partnership of Has Group and SER Mekatronik and talked about general operations of the companies, efforts through ITM 2020 Fair and his expectations.

Recently, you have partnered with SER Mekatronik and started to perform joint productions. Will you please share the course of deciding this partnership among Has Group and SER Mekatronik?

We decided to collaborate with SER Mekatronik in sales and marketing areas in September, 2019. After all, the present owners and the employees of SER Mekatronik were once within the structure of Has Group. When we had a meeting with the officials of SER Mekatronik both sides got really excited about this partnership. These two companies occupy an important space in textile industry. Hence, we decided to establish a new brand with SER Mekatronik in order to actively participate in the market. Moreover, we leased out part of our assembly facility to them. This way, we control all our activities under the same roof, and therefore, have the opportunity to spread into more areas.

What is the progress you achieved with this collaboration till today?

The new brand SER Innovative Solutions received more than twenty machinery orders starting from last year’s September. Receiving this many orders in such a short period of time made us really proud. Besides, we are establishing new networks internationally. We have new agencies that can introduce and promote our brand. We pay extra attention to sales and marketing.

Where and how do these two companies manufacture their machines?

Has Group is the sole responsible for the production process of all the machine parts. As you know, we have two facilities, one for production and the other for the assembly. As Has Group, we manufacture all the machine parts sold under the brand of SER Mekatronik. Later, these parts arrive at the assembly facility and then SER Mekatronik employees mount the machinery to be dispatched with SER Innovative Solutions brand.

Will you please tell us about your after sales services?

SER Mekatronik Company is exclusively responsible for the spare parts and technical services for all the machinery sold by Has Group until today and the machinery that will be sold under the brand of SER Innovative Solutions from this day on. We communicate with our customers and provide them with the details of how this partnership will work. We continue to give technical support and solve their problems swiftly and efficiently.

What is your agenda in R&D related issues? Will you please talk about your efforts on Industry 4.0?

One of the things that Has Group does best is to keep up with the recent technological developments. We also passed this on to SER Mekatronik We continue to make serious investments on Industry 4.0. We plan to activate Industry 4.0, which is capable of enhancing both software stage and the usability and control mechanisms, in our machinery. We are carrying on our trials on the subject. There are systems and software renewed every day. We, too, try these innovations with some of our customers. Especially, we have a software custom built for our steamer machine. Through this software, by installing the application to one of their mobile devices, the customers can view all live data by watching the machine online. This is an important investment and we continue to test to make this feature work continuously. When this software becomes stable and functional continuously, we will offer it attached to the machinery as a standard package. As a result, the customers will be able to operate their machines more economically and efficiently with the help of these investments. We will definitely demonstrate this work on one of our machines in ITM 2020 Fair.

Will you please tell us about your 2020 oriented projects?

We would like to add new machines to the product line, as SER Innovative Solutions. Right now, we are only active in dry section. We are also considering investing on the wet section. Our research and development is in movement for this. Moreover, we will unveil all our innovations on the current machines in ITM 2020 Fair. Especially, the stenter and steamer machines have serious novelties. In addition to that, we plan to have little touches on finishing section, i.e. raising, shearing, brushing, and shrinking machines, which we are already excel in, to make them more efficient.

What are your international activities? Which countries do you export the most?

We recently sold a carpet production line to Saudi Arabia. We are most active in China, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. Looking a bit west, we also have customers in Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. We already had a powerful position in European market. As a Turkish manufacturer, we have eleven operational stenter machines in Italy today. Most of these work on technical textile. We are active in Poland markets, where investments have a tendency to rise. We are promoting SER Mekatronik here. Other than the stated, Has Group has a solid customer portfolio in the USA. We communicate with these customers regarding the details of this new partnership and provide them with the required technical support. We also try to help them with their new projects.

What is your expectation from ITM 2020 Fair?

It will be a first for us to appear before our customers with SER Mekatronik brand. We are very excited and all our preparations are in full speed. As Has Group, we had very good returns in previous fairs. At this fair, we aim to introduce and promote SER Mekatronik brand to our customers in the most appropriate way. The machinery that will be presented at the fair will have all the innovations ready on them. We have great expectations for the orders for the rest of 2020 following ITM 202 Fair.
