Saver Makine is Among the Exemplary Companies with Its Studies on Water Consumption
Aydın Özışıkoğlu, Saver Machinery’s Sales and Marketing Executive
Water, which is one of the most important consumption materials in the Turkish textile finishing industry, is worth dwelling on due to its high usage amounts and negative effects on the environment. Saver Machinery, aware of this issue, focuses on works towards minimum water consumption in the dyeing machines that it produces with environmentally friendly approaches.
In the first issue of the new year, Saver Machinery is included in our exclusive file named “Turkish Textile Machinery Industry”. In our interview with Aydın Özışıkoğlu, the company’s Sales and Marketing Executive, we talked about the productions of Saver Machinery. Özışıkoğlu stated that they attach great importance to water and energy savings in addition to the product quality, which they prioritize in the machines that they manufacture.
As Saver Machinery, one of the most important issues that you address in your production is the amount of water used in dyeing to be kept at minimum levels. What kind of studies do you perform on this subject?
Textile dyeing factories now attach great importance to the amount of water consumed in the dyeing process. Because it is a well-known fact that the share of water in cost is increasing day by day while it is extracted from its source, heated, used as wastewater, and treated. It is certain that the negative effects of this issue on the environment cannot be underestimated. Our groundwater is decreasing day by day. Our current situation is quite different from our old water resources. We do not have enough water resources anymore. An average textile manufacturing facility consumes 2 thousand tons of water a day. In this sense, Saver Machinery focuses its R&D and P&D studies on these issues. We believe that we will observe the rewards for these efforts in the near future. Saver Machinery takes a very sensitive approach to water consumption and acts consciously. In textile dyeing processes, we see it as our primary goal to consume as the minimum amount of water as possible, on the basis of Lt/Kg, and to finish the dyeing process at the desired quality. In line with these objectives, we started the production of the new generation UNICO dyeing machine for the Turkish and world textile finishing industry as a result of the R&D studies we have performed in approximately two years. Our new machine uses 40 percent less water compared to other conventional machines in the market in terms of both energy and water usage. We are currently promoting and selling this machine in the market.
Now that you develop new products, you should be paying attention to R&D studies. Could you tell us about your endeavors on this subject?
As Saver Machinery, we are among the top companies that attach the most importance and investment to R&D and P&D studies in our country. We have to add innovations constantly that are parallel to technology in our products and manufacturing range. Otherwise, I do not think companies will have a chance to survive at this time. As we attach great importance to R&D, we are constantly producing new machines.
Will you please elaborate on these machines and their features?
The UNICO HT dyeing machine, with its special interior design and equipment that is absent in other conventional machines, has the opportunity to dye approximately 25 percent more products than the expected capacity, depending on the weight of the product. In addition, it eliminates operational errors such as whiteness, which are occasionally observed in conventional machines.
We serve our customers within the framework of the same insight and quality understanding with our machines such as HT dyeing machines, warder’s beam dyeing machines, coil dyeing machines, wet fabric opening machine, tube slitting machine, automatic sample washing machines for laboratory, automatic dye kitchen for printing dye kitchen.
How much demand do you receive for your machines in domestic and foreign markets?
Saver Machinery is rapidly advancing in line with its goal and efforts to become a leader in its field both domestically and internationally. The machines that we produce are taking their place in our country and in many countries of the world. This, besides the Saver Machinery achieving its goals, provides great inputs to our national economy. It is a fact that the better we promote our products abroad, the more we will increase our market share.
What is your projection in the future for Saver Machinery?
As Saver Machinery family, we aim to be the domestic leader in our sector. Our work towards this goal continues at full speed. We move forward by thinking professionally with an amateur spirit. Our employees consist of highly experienced and well-equipped people. We employ engineers who are specialized in their fields in our management units. We have a structure that blends technology with science and experience. In this sense, I have no doubt that we will reach our goals as soon as possible.
