The Importance of ITM 2024 Exhibition and Turkey is Indisputable

Germany-based Erhardt+Leimer is one of the world’s most important manufacturers of product guidance and control systems. The company, which is one of the important participants of the ITM 2024 Exhibition, presented its latest technologies to its visitors. As Tekstil Teknoloji magazine, we interviewed with Stephan Kehry, Sales Director of Erhardt Leimer. Kehry evaluated the textile sector, Turkish market and ITM 2024 Exhibition, and also gave information about the products they exhibited at the exhibition. Here are the highlights of the interview:
“We are One of the First Suppliers to Use Artificial Intelligence in Textile Production”
Artificial Intelligence and Chat GPT dominate the news channels these days. Besides sustainability, this topic has the ability to change the world like nothing else. E+L was one of the first suppliers to utilise this sophisticated tool in textile production. Virtually no other sector deals with as much versatility as textile production.
‘We Introduced Our New Generation Seam Sensor ELSEAMTEX at ITM 2024’
Since we know that artificial intelligence will play an effective role in the future of the textile industry, we emphasise this feature in our products. Among the products we exhibited at ITM 2024 are sensors that work with artificial intelligence. One of them is our new seam sensor ELSEAMTEX. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it is the first sensor on the market to detect all kinds of seam optically and therefore without contact. Each customer can customise the sensor for their own portfolio. What’s more: with each new seam, the sensor will be able to learn and differentiate between a printed line, a wrinkle and a neat seam. With our new ELSEAMTEX seam sensor, our customers will achieve a smooth process and thus a permanently high quality. This will certainly be a game changer as it will be the first of a new generation of sensors in the future.
At ITM 2024, in addition to our new seam sensor, we also exhibited the ELCOUNT pick counter, the ELWARP warp sensor with the BT80 web cutting device, the ELCLEAN suction device and the ELMOTION intelligent drive system. We are constantly improving our products with the possibilities provided by artificial intelligence, making it easier to make the right decisions in the production stages and enabling financial savings.

Although the interest in textile investments is low worldwide, we are hopeful about the future of the sector. 2024 Fair is very important for our company in this sense. Because Turkey is one of our biggest markets and there is a lot of diversity here. The importance of ITM2024 Exhibition and Turkey is indisputable. There was an excellent visitor mass at ITM 2024 Exhibition. The interest of the visitors to our stand made us happy. During the fair, we renewed our existing representation agreements and found the opportunity to start some new projects.
