“We Exhibited Our Automatic T-Shirt Ironing Machine for the First Time at ITM 2024”

In our interview with Ogün Özol, General Manager of EPA Teknoloji on the first day of ITM 2024, we listened to his evaluations about ITM 2024 and a comprehensive analysis of Turkey’s textile and garment industry.
Can you briefly inform us about the products you highlighted at ITM 2024 Exhibition?
We made an automatic T-shirt ironing machine special for this year. We exhibited it for the first time at this exhibition. Apart from that, we also exhibited our final ironing machine, automatic packaging machine and wiping machines used in technical textiles.
What kind of benefits do the products you exhibited at the exhibition provide to their users?
Our products are completely automation oriented products. They provided advantages to companies in labor costs and operating costs. The standard model of our T-shirt ironing machine can iron 550 T-shirts with one person, which is not possible for a human to do alone. Including handling preparation and packaging, it can pack and package up to 550-600 units with one person.
Considering important parameters such as digitalisation, automation and sustainability, how are you preparing for the future?
In the last 3 years, we have started to make machines for the needs of customers mainly in the field of technical textiles. We use technologies that can be controlled remotely under today’s conditions and minimize operating costs. Also, one of the biggest problems of the world is energy. So we design our machines in such a way that minimum energy consumption is realized.
As in all sectors, the textile machinery sector has been going through an economically turbulent period, especially in recent years. Why is ITM 2024 so important for the industry this year? What kind of opportunities does your company expect from ITM 2024?
If we look at the geographical conditions of our country, ITM is a very convenient organization for all customers in the world. In Europe or anywhere else in the world, end users and customers cannot come to such exhibitions. They have a lot of difficulty because they cannot get visas. We have observed this at events in Italy and even in Germany. An exhibition is organized, but the customer group that we want to attend cannot come to that exhibition. ITM has a very nice features: Firstly, it is at the point where everyone can come. Secondly, Teknik Fairs, which organises the ITM Exhibition, acts in a very professional manner since it has been organising this exhibition for years. In other words, the important thing here is not only to build the fairgrounds, but also to publicize this exhibition all over the world and to bring the customers of that world here. ITM Exhibition also achieves this.
